ANDREAS SCHNITTGER
For Andreas, Ashtanga is a holistic, therapeutic form of yoga with the potential to heal physically, emotionally and spiritually. Andreas’ creative teaching style is a combination of Western teaching methods and inspiring adjustments. He strives to make the creative potential of Ashtanga Yoga accessible to his students and to show them the beauty and wisdom of this dynamic form of meditation.

Andreas has been practising Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga since 1999 and has studied with international teachers both in Germany and abroad. In the living tradition of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga he has travelled to Mysore in India several times to study with Shri K. Pattabhi Jois and Sharat Rangasamy. Andreas’ most important teacher is John Scott whose creativity and devotion to the Ashtanga school of yoga have been a lasting influence.

Andreas has taught Ashtanga in Berlin, Leipzig and Barcelona. In 2007 he opened his own yoga school in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin – the Ashtanga Yoga Palace – which he runs together with his wife, Franziska Loh.

FRANZISKA LOH
I see Ashtanga Yoga as a gift to life. It has taught me to breathe, to love my body and to bring awareness to every moment. This is the gift I would like to pass on to my students. I teach yoga classes for pregnant women and have myself experienced the health benefits of yoga during pregnancy.

Franziska Loh has been practising Ashtanga Yoga since 2002. Her teacher is Andreas Schnittger, and she is also a direct student of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. She has participated in numerous national and international Ashtanga Yoga workshops. In May 2007, together with Andreas, she opened the Ashtanga Yoga Palace.
